Keep your quality gear going.

Services

  • Repair it

Repair is an essential part of keeping quality gear alive. Zippers fail and jackets tear, but rarely does this mean the end. Taking care of your quality gear is essential and repair is often part of that process.

  • Up-cycle it

Gear that has been too well loved can often be repurposed. Ski clothing and other outerwear can become a new durable item that is with you year-round. 1 pair of ski bibs can make a tote bag or numerous smaller items.

  • Clean it!

Please understand I am working very closely with all gear being given to me. I ask that before your gear is submitted that it is cleaned and ideally doesn’t smell. This makes my process easier and returns you an item that is more waterproof and ready to be used again.

What About Seam Tape?

Seam taping is a challenging and rewarding facet of gear repair. It allows for better water resistance and durability than sewing alone. For this service, labor is billed at $60 an hour due to its tedious nature. I don’t possess the machinery of a larger brand and thus cannot guarantee longevity in the same way. I’m still very confident in the repair provided and will happily redo or reattach any areas that need it. This option should only be considered if your manufacturer will not help due to gear age, or you’re hoping to do a modification. Please note: Seam taping is not available for waders or fully waterproof garments.

Think of a favorite bag that you have for travel or outdoor adventures that you’ve been duct taping together and you know it’s on its last leg? Send it to me and let me make you a new one with all the features of the one you love. We’ll talk about colors and fabrics to duplicate it or bring it back to life.

Gear repairs take 3-5 weeks from time of arrival, material availability dependent.

New gear from up-cycled goods or fabric will be completed in the same timeline as a custom project.

Pricing will be determined once I have received the cleaned garment.

Please see custom page for current lead times.
