The Perfect Mountaineering Pack.

A ~1000 gram 50 liter pack for ski and alpine guiding. Made from Ultra 800 fabric to be light, waterproof, and durable.

Why Matt Loves His Pack:

There’s a saying in alpine climbing that the more you know the less you can carry, this was the ethos that Ethan and I applied in designing this pack. A mass produced pack that is designed to meet the needs of a variety of different users must include many different features, meaning that for any single user there will be features on the pack that go unused and simply add extra weight and clutter to the pack. To me this is the main advantage of having a custom pack; by removing some of the features you might find on a mass produced pack and including only those features that are useful to the way that I like to move around in the mountains we’ve been able to create a pack that is extremely light, fully functional, and highly durable.

As of writing this I’ve used my pack through a full season of skiing, climbing, backpacking, and guiding in the Cascades. So far it’s served me extremely well, showing exceptionally little wear. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the way this pack came out and I anticipate that it will be a constant companion in the mountains for many seasons to come.
